1on1 Direct Client Support (Nurse Aide)

About the role

BAYADA is currently recruiting for a CNA to reliably serve patients on a per visit basis in the following counties [Mecklenburg, Union, and Anson] in BAYADA’s Assistive Care Division.

Responsibilities

• Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
• Develop close relationships with clients while helping them with:
• Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc.
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Ranging of motion/exercises
• Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
• Meditation reminders
• Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration

Requirements

• Have at least one year of work experience.
• Successfully completed a recognized CNA training course and be certified to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• A passion for caregiving, providing private home care, and a desire to help others.
• A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
