About the role

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join their team. They are a growing company with increasing opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service
• Cash handling and accounting
• Stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise
• Housekeeping inside and outside of the store
• Store safety and store security
• Deli food sales and cooking
• Operate computerized cash register
• Give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise
• Remember regular customers' names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and handle customer complaints
• Stock shelves and coolers
• Complete accurate and effective completion of shift work
• Clean and maintain all areas of the store
• Complete vendor check-in procedures
• Complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls
• Advisory the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance
• Sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management
• Perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in retail or similar field preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay

$19 - 8 am to 4 pm
$19.50+$1 Shift Differential - 4 pm to 12 am

Schedule

Hours vary based on location, but generally operate from 8 am to 4 pm and 4 pm to 12 am.
