1845 - Linux Systems Administrator - Onsite - Secret Clearance Required

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Linux Systems Administrator to work onsite supporting enterprise IT for our War-fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, to include virtual machines and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
• Provide technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.
• Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance.
• Maintain configuration and security posture of information systems through continuous monitoring and routine security events/reporting.
• Participate in project planning using Agile methodology.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
• Understand and be familiar with Linux operating system and virtual networking.

Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience providing engineering solutions for various and unique problem sets and customers in a government software hosting facility.
• Experience performing routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• Experience performing installations, configurations, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Experience maintaining system backups, disaster recovery plans, managing user accounts/permissions, deploying and maintaining software applications, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Experience maintaining documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
• Experience providing technical support to customers, ranging from resolving technical issues to providing guidance and best-practices.
• Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance.
• BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Windows or Linux OS certification.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $180,000 annually. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
