About the role

A McDonald’s Certified Swing Manager oversees daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring the restaurant operates safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with McDonald’s brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew members, assigns positions, and manages floor operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience across all channels.
• Maintains speed of service, order accuracy, food quality, and hospitality to ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Enforces food safety procedures, proper handwashing, time and temperature controls, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
• Monitors and takes corrective action when food safety standards are not met.
• Manages labor deployment to support sales volume while controlling costs.
• Maintains cleanliness and hygiene standards, monitors waste, completes product counts, and protects company assets.
• Trains and coaches crew members on procedures, service behaviors, and brand standards.
• Communicates with the General Manager and other leadership team members regarding shift performance, staffing needs, equipment issues, and customer concerns.
• Documents incidents, resolves guest complaints professionally, and ensures follow-up when needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a food service management role. Certification as a McDonald’s Certified Swing Manager is preferred but not required.

Skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Knowledge of McDonald’s brand standards and food safety practices
• Experience with drive-thru, front counter, kiosk, mobile order, and curbside operations
