#1759 | Degreaser 1 - 1st Shift

About the Role

Under general supervision, the Degreaser will operate and tend equipment that cleans grease, scales, dirt, and other foreign object debris (FOB) from customer-supplied product, and inspect parts for conformance to prepare for additional processes or shipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend equipment that removes grease, scales, dirt, and other foreign object damage (FOD) from customer-supplied product.
• Inspect parts for conformance to prepare for additional processing or shipment.
• Rack parts using various techniques to be degreased.
• Place parts in degreasing tanks per procedures to ensure complete cleaning before processing.
• Rinse parts thoroughly and begin the drying process upon completion of the degreasing cycle.
• Ensure parts are cleaned to standard before continuing to the next required steps.
• Adhere to safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate, read, and understand English.
• Ability to follow and retain instructions.
• Good attention to detail to ensure parts are clean.
• Ability to work around chemicals.
• Ability to wear a mask for prolonged periods of time.
• Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires the employee to be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Physical Demands

• Walking/standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to heat, noise, and chemical fumes while in production areas.
• Good hand and eye coordination and movement.
