#167 Bench Seafood Team Lead

Pay Range: $19.25 – $29.25

About the role

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the seafood department, including budgeting, financial oversight, merchandising, inventory control, and associate scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clerks within the department and monitor proper merchandising, rotation, and inventory levels to promote optimal sales.
• Ensure all customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Order all seafood products and supplies, including fresh, frozen, wrap, and related items, using product movement history for accuracy.
• Ensure inventory control of both fresh and frozen products.
• Design and maintain displays for the entire seafood department.
• Perform seafood department record keeping and adhere to predetermined budgets (financial aspects, payroll, wrap).
• Ensure high levels of customer courtesy and service within the seafood department, including accuracy of special orders such as shrimp platters.
• Ensure associates adhere to company and state sanitation procedures and regulations.
• Train and schedule new associates within the seafood department.
• Communicate all company rules and regulations to seafood associates.
• Operate and manage special programs within the seafood department, including the fried fish program, marinade program, and demo programs.
• Maintain all aspects of the computer-generated ordering system.
• Ensure the ice display meets correct standards daily.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

Education and Experience

• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience.
