About the Role
The Customer Service Representative provides a variety of clerical duties, including answering phone calls, greeting clients and families, checking in clients (virtually or in person), scheduling appointments, insurance verification, completing financial reviews, processing payments, data entry, and generating reports. This role also involves coordinating provider appointments, managing schedules, and making reminder calls to clients. The position works with various workstations, interacts with diverse individuals and agencies, and collaborates with medical and clinical teams within Guadalupe County.
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and greet clients and families
- Check in clients virtually or in person
- Schedule appointments and verify insurance
- Complete financial reviews and process payments
- Perform data entry and generate reports
- Coordinate provider appointments and manage schedules
- Make reminder calls to clients
- Collaborate with medical and clinical teams
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable collaborating with diverse individuals, including adults, children/youth, and those in crisis
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a medical or hospital setting
- Working knowledge of medical insurance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Front desk experience in a behavioral health setting
- Knowledge of insurance company processes

Pay
Hourly Salary Range: $17.30 – $21.05
Annual Salary Range: $35,984.00 - $43,784.00
Differential Details:
- $.75/hour – Bilingual
- $1.00/hour – 2-year tenure with BTCS
- $1.00/hour – Career ladder specialty
- $1.00/hour – 2 previous years of experience in a similar role
