162 - Food City Bakery Asst. Team Lead - 7th Ave & Southern

Responsibilities

• Directing bakery department personnel
• Meeting department’s goals and objectives
• Managing and overseeing the bakery while the team lead is not present
• Communicating with the bakery team lead, store director, and bakery specialist
• Ordering supplies and products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels
• Mercandising bakery goods according to bakery merchandising standards
• Executing and supporting all sales and merchandising initiatives
• Serving as the leader of the department, role model, coach, performance evaluator, and trainer for the team
• Ensuring department and team compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements
• Understanding the importance of and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage
• Keeping a clean, neat, and orderly check stand/sales counter and work production areas
• Wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety
• Serving customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be 21 years of age for positions that serve alcohol
