About the Role
Unmanned Aircraft Systems Repairers maintain and repair the Army National Guard’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), ensuring these critical assets remain operational for intelligence gathering and battlefield surveillance. Responsibilities include servicing electrical, avionics, propulsion, and fuel systems, as well as overseeing equipment wiring harnesses, electrical components, and radio frequency paths.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of optical payloads, weapons systems, electrical systems, radio frequency systems, and takeoff/landing systems
- Repair and troubleshooting of aircraft electrical, avionics, and propulsion systems
- Oversee maintenance of wiring harnesses, electrical components, and radio frequency paths

Training
Job training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, where you’ll learn basic Soldiering skills, followed by 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, split between classroom instruction and fieldwork.

Most non-prior service candidates will earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)
