About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the direction and planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring optimal sales and customer loyalty in assigned stores. They also manage store operations, maintain brand standards, and ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention protocols.
Responsibilities
Brands: Supervise associates to maximize sales and KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and coach or counsel team members. Maintain positive relations with associates and peers, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Operations: Ensure execution of company processes, utilize digital strategies, manage inventory, schedule hours, and perform store opening/closing procedures. Protect company assets and analyze available reporting tools and technology.
Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure a safe store environment, enforce policies and procedures, and analyze data to prevent shrinkage, damages, and losses.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team of associates
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
