14E Patriot Fire Control Enhanced Operator/Maintainer

Job Duties

• Movement and placement of the Patriot Fire Control systems in various locations and environments
• Operation of Patriot Fire Control electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Evaluation of intelligence and identification of targets; performance of real-time status reporting during combat
• Engagement of identified enemy targets threatening friendly forces
• Establishment and maintenance of digital, radio, and wire communication networks

Skills You’ll Learn

• Operating the Patriot radar, and associated target-identification, and command and control systems
• Maintenance and troubleshooting on electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Operation of digital data and communications networks
• Identification and engagement of targets electronically
• Air defense artillery tactics, techniques, procedures, and air battle strategy

Requirements

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
