Overview
Part-time position in the Bloomington, Indiana area. Responsibilities include driving throughout the city and surrounding areas for timely pickup and delivery of laboratory specimens, supplies, and other items to and from the Hospital. Duties also involve reviewing client specimen request information for accuracy and proper packaging, assisting with report sorting, delivering items according to specimen type and department requirements, and maintaining a daily activity record.
Responsibilities
- Reviews specimen request information for accuracy and proper packaging
- Affixes labels to specimens and supplies
- Sorts client reports
- Sorts deliveries according to specimen type and department required
- Maintains a daily activity record indicating number of trips, destination, arrival/departure times, and the number of requests
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Indiana Operator's license
- Good driving history
- Understanding of Indiana traffic laws
- Effective communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
Qualifications
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of Indiana traffic laws
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
