11B Infantryman - Management Training
About the Role
Infantry Soldiers are the backbone of the Army, responsible for taking or holding ground during combat operations. You’ll attack, repel, and capture enemy forces using advanced weapons and tactics.
Responsibilities
- Assist in reconnaissance operations
- Employ, fire, and recover anti-personal and anti-tank mines
- Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights
- Operate and maintain communications equipment
- Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions
- Process prisoners of war and captured documents
- Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry
- Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.)

Training
Job training for an Infantryman requires 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT), split between classroom instruction and field exercises under simulated combat conditions. Earn while you learn with a regular paycheck and tuition assistance.

Most non-prior service candidates will earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change.
Requirements
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
