Responsibilities

  • Aids in the operation of the pharmacy, focusing on exceptional customer service and prescription processing efficiency.
  • Maintains patient care by monitoring therapeutic outcomes and minimizing adverse drug effects.
  • Consults patients professionally to ensure they understand their drug therapy plans and outcomes.
  • Safeguards location compliance with local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Fosters open communications between store staff and the pharmacy department to enhance morale, awareness of company programs, and support of objectives.

Qualifications

  • Requires a degree in Pharmacy (B.S. or PharmD).
  • Must be licensed as a pharmacist in the state where working.
  • Knowledge of laws governing OTC drugs, pharmacy products, and third-party plans is essential.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy policy and procedure is necessary.
  • Understanding of financial reports and their use is beneficial.
