About the role
Groups is a leading outpatient provider specializing in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, committed to supporting underserved communities hit hardest by the opioid crisis. Our evidence-based approach combines medication, group therapy, and personalized support, delivered online and in person by local providers. We are raising the bar in addiction health care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting intakes
- See patients after they have already undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor
- Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions
- Participate in groups run by specialized counseling staff by answering questions and managing patients' medication dosing
- Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels
- Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered state license (NP/APRN) in the state in which you are applying
- Active, individual DEA with address listed in the state in which you are applying (separate DEA required in each state where you plan to prescribe)
- DEAX designation as formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine or proof of 8 hours of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA
- 1 year minimum actively prescribing Buprenorphine
- Proof of active board certification
- Ability to work in-office at least 5 hours per week
Pay & schedule
- $100 per group
- 5–10 hours per week
- Flexible hours within M–F, 9am–8pm
- No weekends
Providers receive full orientation and training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work. Eligibility for hours will commence approximately 3 months after initiation of the credentialing process.
