1099 Contractor - General Handyman, Maintenance Technician

Superior Contracting & Maintenance is an established home repair and maintenance company with more than 13 years of industry experience. We work with a wide range of clients and operate just north of our primary market in Atlanta, GA. We provide services throughout AL, AZ, GA, FL, NC, OK, SC, TN, and TX. Our work includes plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, tree services, roofing, drywall repairs, interior and exterior painting, flooring, remediation, make-readies, appliances, and more. Our goal is to provide reliable, high-quality service while maintaining clear communication and building lasting customer relationships.

Our technicians generally work within their local service areas and handle residential service requests. Our maintenance division primarily works with property management partners, while our direct-to-client services support homeowners. Our projects team handles larger contracts and re-pipe projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and installations involving plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general handyman work
• Assess problems and determine practical, effective solutions
• Follow applicable safety regulations and local requirements
• Communicate clearly with the Superior team throughout each job to ensure completion and customer satisfaction
• Manage job schedules and budgets while maintaining quality workmanship

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and punctuality
• Must have a truck, van, or SUV suitable for transporting tools and materials
• Must provide your own tools and be comfortable working independently
• Preferred: At least 3+ years of experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or a related trade
• Ability to lift and transport tools, equipment, and materials as needed
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
• Ability to access and navigate an online portal system
• HVAC technicians must have EPA certification to comply with current refrigerant regulations
• General Liability Insurance is required and a COI must be provided
• A W9 with a valid Tax ID is required
• Completion of onboarding video training with a live vendor representative is required before work orders can be assigned
