TimelyCare is seeking independently licensed therapists to provide contracted virtual therapy services to children and adolescents ages 5–17+. This role expands TimelyCare’s digital health services into K-12 communities, offering developmentally appropriate behavioral health care while involving parents or guardians when clinically appropriate. This is an independent contractor opportunity and does not establish an employment relationship.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based therapy, clinical assessment, diagnosis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning for children and adolescents.
- Develop individualized care plans based on each client’s developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs and treatment goals.
- Utilize measurement-based care practices by regularly reviewing validated clinical measures to assess treatment needs, guide care planning, and monitor progress.
- Use evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, TF-CBT, PCIT, and other clinically appropriate modalities through engaging and developmentally appropriate virtual sessions.
- Identify safety concerns, complete safety planning, and provide crisis intervention or escalation when clinically necessary.
- Coordinate care with parents, guardians, educational professionals, and other appropriate parties when clinically indicated and permitted.
- Complete timely, accurate, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation through TimelyCare’s designated electronic health record.
- Maintain treatment goals and documentation consistent with applicable professional, ethical, regulatory, and clinical standards.
- Exercise independent professional judgment in delivering clinical services within licensure, legal, contractual, and platform requirements.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted independent clinical licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor or equivalent independent counselor license (LPC, LCPC, LMHC)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.; LP/LCP as applicable)
- Authorization to independently provide clinical services within the applicable state.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation, and active listening skills.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Ability to appropriately assess and respond to safety concerns, including crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning.
- Associate or provisionally licensed therapists, school psychologists, and school counselors without a clinical therapist license are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing pediatric or adolescent behavioral health services through telehealth, school-based programs, outpatient mental health, or community mental health settings.
- Experience or certification in evidence-based pediatric and adolescent treatment modalities such as TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, PCIT, Parent Management Training, or trauma-informed care.
- Familiarity with family systems and developmentally appropriate clinical interventions.
About the Engagement
- Remote care: Provide virtual services from an appropriate home or professional office environment that supports privacy and quality care.
- Contractor autonomy: Independent contractors determine their availability for services, consistent with contractual terms and applicable requirements.
- Session structure: Standard therapy appointments are generally scheduled for 55 minutes, with remaining time available for documentation.
- Professional boundaries: Clients do not receive the contractor’s personal phone number or email address through the TimelyCare platform.
Compensation & Resources
- Compensation is provided on a per-session basis. Rates are discussed during the selection process and may vary based on education, licensure, clinical experience, and contracted services.
- Professional liability coverage is provided for services delivered through TimelyCare, subject to applicable terms and coverage requirements.
- Partial compensation may be available for qualifying late cancellations and no-shows in accordance with contractor terms.
- Access to monthly APA/ASWB-sponsored continuing education (CE) opportunities may be available.
- Independent contractors may be eligible to participate in TimelyCare’s provider referral program, subject to program terms.
Valid U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is not available at this time.
