About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing all store operations, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • 30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in delivering exceptional customer experiences, maximizing sales and driving customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.

  • 30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and manage associates, identifying strengths and opportunities, and addressing them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relationships with associates and keep them informed of relevant information. Build strong relationships with peers and ensure consistent communication.

  • 30% Operations: Ensure the execution of company processes, including training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Manage digital strategies, such as Omni-channel fulfillment, and maintain inventory and payroll. Follow store opening and closing procedures and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.

  • 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure the store environment is safe for associates and customers. Protect company assets by following inventory and cash control procedures. Analyze and utilize available reporting and tools to ensure compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred

  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred

  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives

  • Effective communication skills

  • Scheduling availability to meet business needs

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
