100% Travel MCE Technician - Mid West US

About the role

This is a remote, hourly position requiring 100% travel across the Midwest region. With overtime, travel, and supplemental earnings, MCE Technicians have the potential to earn over $100,000 per year. Responsibilities

  • The most critical factor is ensuring safety for everyone involved. This includes Risk Assessment; Identify potential hazards before starting. Protective Measures: Use appropriate gear, follow protocols, and maintain a safe environment. Compliance; Adhere to safety regulations and standards to prevent accidents.
  • Perform major component exchanges including gearboxes, generators, and other critical systems. Execute maintenance, minor to medium repairs, design modifications, retrofits, and special projects – all following established procedures.
  • Travel extensively to support turbine operations across multiple platforms and site conditions.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure a secure working environment.

Requirements

  • Prioritize safety above all else. You understand and follow established safety protocols, proactively identify potential hazards, and take immediate action to prevent incidents. Your commitment ensures a secure environment for yourself, your team, and the community.
  • Preferred wind turbine experience with hands-on MCE work. Minimum one year of wind technician experience, or six months wind technician experience with a Wind Technician certificate/education, or 2 years of transferrable mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic experience.
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and executing major repairs on various platforms.
  • Comfortable with 100% travel and working in varied site conditions.
  • A collaborative technician who thrives on solving complex challenges.
  • Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights.
  • Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • You have a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Pay & Schedule

  • The base pay salary range for this position is $27.43-$33.43/hr., with potential for additional variable compensation.
  • We are offering a $2,500 USD Sign On Bonus*
