We currently have an opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with an active Illinois license for a 100% telepsychiatry position. This position is part time (8 hours/week) and will allow you to provide services remotely for patients accessing care from a Community Mental Health Center. Patient population is ages 5+.
Responsibilities
- Provide video-based behavioral health assessment with patients
- Assist with de-escalation and stabilization
- Phone or video capture any readily available collateral information from other sources
- Analyze psychological/psychosocial aspects of individual interrelationships to gain understanding of an individual’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
- Provide written recommendation on next level of assessment or care
- Maintain documentation within partner site’s EMR
- Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for all
- Provide observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context
- Maintain all required certifications and licenses
Requirements
- Active Illinois license
- 2+ years of experience since obtaining license
- Established and updated CAQH profile strongly preferred
Qualifications
- PMHNP certification
- Intermediate to advanced experience with technology
- Strong communication skills
