About the role
We are seeking an extraordinary Senior AWS DevOps and System Administrator to join our team at eTrigue. This is a great opportunity to join an established company, 14 years old with 38 year old parent company, in a rapidly growing market space.
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and optimize our AWS environment from start to finish.
- Ensure our SaaS Demand Generation platform is always available, optimized for cost and efficiency, performing with low latency, and taking advantage of leading edge tools/solutions.
- Design and implement solutions using AWS services to meet business requirements.
- Manage AWS cloud resources and optimize performance.
- Implement and maintain security best practices and comply with relevant standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Utilize AWS DevOps tools such as CloudFormation, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy.
- Collaborate with other engineers and product professionals in a focused, no bureaucracy environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system administration and DevOps roles.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and Group Policy.
- Experience with networking and security.
- Experience with AWS cloud platform.
- Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Strong understanding of system administration concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Proficiency in leveraging AWS cloud services such as ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and AWS Machine Learning.
- Strong knowledge of AI services and tools.
- Expertise in utilizing AWS cloud infrastructure to build scalable and reliable applications.
- Proven ability to design and implement solutions using AWS services to meet business requirements.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud pricing models and cost optimization strategies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch or Splunk.
- Experience with security tools and practices such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and AWS Security Groups.
Qualifications
- Quick learner who can become an expert in the DevOps backend components.
- Hands-on, persistent, and able to overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
