Think Academy US, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of TAL Education Group (NYSE: TAL), is an Ed‑Tech company providing K‑12 extra‑curricular learning services through science and technology. The company aims to foster critical thinking, strengthen logic skills, and help students achieve their goals with innovative teaching techniques. Think Academy specializes in online math education for North American students, aligning its curriculum with the U.S. Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and serving upper elementary, middle, and high school levels through personalized, one‑on‑one instruction. They are currently seeking Remote Math Tutors to support project testing and ongoing curriculum development. The intended start date is as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one‑on‑one online math lessons for students in Grades 5‑8 across North America, aligned with the CCSS framework
- Teach in English using interactive and student‑centered methods to promote engagement, strengthen core concept understanding, and address questions in real time
- Prepare lesson content based on individual student needs, ensuring well‑structured and high‑quality instruction
- Provide timely feedback and targeted guidance to support student understanding and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Math, Education, or related fields are preferred
- Teaching experience or a valid teaching certificate is highly preferred
- Available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends (US time zones)
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is preferred
Pay
Pay starts from $20–25/hr, with opportunities for promotion and salary increases twice a year.
Schedule
Part‑Time (less than 20 hrs/week), remote position within the US; work primarily during weekday evenings and weekends.
