1:1 School Tutor (Gr 2-8: Reading, Writing, Math)

About the role

Spring Academy is a private school in Seattle that educates students exclusively through one-to-one instruction. We serve students who face obstacles in the traditional classroom setting such as academic challenges, social or emotional issues, or learning disabilities. Our mission is to help students recognize and realize their full potential and abilities, grounded in compassion, personalization, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Address learning goals related to the needs of students at private schools in the Seattle area.
• Instruct students with learning disabilities in grades 2-8.
• Engage directly with students in a one-on-one setting.
• Adapt to a variety of student levels and personalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Education (or equivalent certification).
• Expertise in teaching Reading, Writing, and Math in grades 2-8.
• 3+ years classroom teaching experience.

Pay

• $40 per hour

Schedule

• 15-25 hours per week
• Monday-Thursday schedule (2 or 4-day workweek)
