1:1 School Registered Nurse - $46-52 per hour
About the role
This is a local contract position for a School RN (Specialty: School RN, Discipline: RN) in Clifton Park, New York. Provide 1:1 nursing care to a preschool student throughout the school day, monitoring health status and responding promptly to medical needs. Administer medications and treatments as ordered, while following individualized healthcare plans and school health protocols. Monitor and support the student’s pediatric health needs, including pediatric diabetes, and recognize and respond appropriately to changes in condition. Communicate and collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate to promote the student’s safety, health, and participation in the school environment.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License.
- Current American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Certification.
- NYSED fingerprint clearance required.
- Experience caring for pediatric patients, including familiarity with pediatric diabetes management.
- Prior school nursing experience preferred.
Pay
Competitive pay: $46.10 - $52.30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and bonus opportunities.

Schedule
Position duration: 41 weeks. Scheduled hours: 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts). Work‑life balance note: part‑time school schedule with 20 hours per week and paid sick leave.
