1:1 Registered Nurse

The Calais School Committee is accepting applications for the position of 1:1 Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a school setting during the school year. Candidates must hold a Registered Nursing License.

About the role

• Provide direct patient care to students in a school setting
• Assist with health education programs
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed
• Monitor student health and report concerns to appropriate personnel
• Perform routine health checks and screenings
• Respond to emergencies and medical crises
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Requirements

• Current Registered Nursing license
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience working in a school or healthcare setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pediatric health
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed
