087 - AJ's Fine Foods Bakery Assistant Team Lead - 56th St. & Ray

Responsibilities

• Directing bakery department personnel
• Meeting department’s goals and objectives
• Managing and supervising the bakery while the team lead is not on duty
• Communicating directly with the bakery team lead, store director, and bakery specialist
• Ordering supplies and products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels
• Mercandising bakery goods in accordance with bakery merchandising standards
• Executing and supporting all sales and merchandising initiatives
• Serving as the leader of his/her department, role model, coach, performance evaluator, and trainer for his/her team
• Ensuring department and team compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements
• Understanding the importance of and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage
• Keeping a clean, neat, and orderly check stand/sales counter and work production areas
• Wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety
• Serving customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.

Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.
