About the role

We are seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence across our construction projects. This role is designed for a process-oriented professional who can apply industrial engineering discipline—specifically continuous improvement and lean methodologies—to the dynamic environment of construction management. You will be responsible for bridge-building between high-level strategy and on-site execution, ensuring our projects are delivered with maximum efficiency and minimal waste.

Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Conduct time studies and workflow analyses to identify bottlenecks in construction cycles and material procurement.
  • Leverage Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize site performance.
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material waste, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Design optimized site layouts and material staging plans to reduce double-handling and improve safety.
  • Draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure "best practice" consistency across multiple job sites.
  • Work directly with field supervisors and subcontractors to encourage the adoption of new, more efficient working methods.
  • Lead "Lesson Learned" sessions to capture data and refine processes for future project bids and executions.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Data Visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, or advanced Excel).
  • Functional knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM/Revit.
  • Experience with project scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, or Primavera P6).
  • Strategic Problem Solving: You don't just put out fires; you figure out why the fire started and redesign the system to prevent it.
  • Professional Communication: Ability to translate technical IE data into plain language for field crews and stakeholders alike.
  • Field-Ready Mindset: Comfortable spending significant time on active construction sites and engaging directly with the trades.
