056 - Bashas' Deli Asst. Team Lead - Verrado & Main

Responsibilities

• Directing department personnel in the absence of the Deli/Bistro Team Leader.
• Maintaining department goals and objectives.
• Communicating with the store director and deli/bistro department supervisors.
• Ordering necessary products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
• Preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/bistro food service items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees, fried chicken, roasted chickens, pizzas, prepared salads, sandwiches, and other meal items.
• Displaying deli/bistro merchandise according to department and company guidelines.
• Rotating deli/bistro items for sale, ensuring quality and safety, and controlling product shrinkage.
• Maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
• Receiving and auditing merchandise and supplies, breaking down orders, and positioning products in designated areas.
• Monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement, and using product shelf tags and signage.
• Ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of sales counters, food prep areas, warehouse shelving, and walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Working safely around sharp utensils, hot appliances, and other hazards.
• Taking customer orders and ensuring timely and satisfactory completion of orders.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be 21 years of age for positions that serve alcohol.
