03751 Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all areas, providing supervision and direction to associates, and ensuring optimal customer experiences and brand standards are met.

Responsibilities

• 30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in achieving exceptional customer experiences, maximizing sales and driving customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.

• 30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and coach or counsel as needed. Maintain positive relations with associates and peers, and ensure compliance with policies and expectations.

• 30% Operations: Execute company processes, manage inventory, schedule associates, and ensure adherence to company directives and projects. Manage payroll hours and store opening/closing procedures.

• 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure a safe store environment, enforce policies, and protect company assets. Analyze and utilize reporting tools to maintain compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• At least 18 years of age

• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience

• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience

• Ability to lead or support a team

• Effective communication skills

• Scheduling availability to meet business needs

• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
