03019 Assistant Store Manager
About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all areas, providing supervision and direction to the store associates, and ensuring optimal customer experiences. They also manage store operations, maintain brand standards, and ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention protocols.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise associates, plan daily goals, and ensure exceptional customer experiences that maximize sales and customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met and resolve customer issues.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and address concerns through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations and keep associates informed.
30% Operations: Execute company processes, manage inventory, schedule hours, and ensure correct store opening/closing procedures. Follow company directives and utilize digital strategies.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure store safety, protect company assets, analyze reports, and comply with HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team of associates
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
