About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the direction planning of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and managing store operations. They also support the Store Manager in various areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Responsibilities

  • 30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in delivering exceptional customer experiences, maximizing sales and KPIs, and driving customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met and resolve customer issues.

  • 30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and manage team members, address individual strengths and opportunities, and maintain positive relationships.

  • 30% Operations: Ensure the execution of company processes, manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Utilize digital strategies and tools for efficient operations.

  • 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Maintain a safe store environment, enforce policies, and protect company assets. Analyze and utilize available reporting and tools for compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience

  • Minimum 1+ year(s) prior management experience

  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates

  • Effective communication skills

  • Scheduling availability to meet business needs

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
