About the Role
Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is a 300+ bed hospital located in Farmington, Missouri. The Adult Psychiatric Services (APS) unit is seeking energetic, caring, and enthusiastic Food Service Assistants to join the team providing specialized services to intellectually disabled forensic clients. This is an entry-level dietary position responsible for preparing simple menu items under direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Follow specific dietary needs, standard kitchen procedures, and sanitation guidelines when handling, preparing, and serving food.
- Prepare simple menu items under direct supervision.
- Wash dishes and kitchen tools.
- Stock food in serving lines.
Requirements
- Knowledge of methods and equipment used in preparing food on a large scale.
- Ability to work continuous hours while standing, in an environment with high temperatures.
Qualifications
- 0-1 year of work experience (substitutions may be allowed).
- Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.
