Additional Details

This position is in the Civil Division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office - Advising the County and its Departments on a variety of civil legal issues; preparing and reviewing contracts on behalf of the County and its departments; supervising junior advisory attorneys; seasoned employment attorney well versed in State of Texas and federal employment law, able to provide concise, sound memos on employment and other matters; representing the client in administrative hearings before government agencies like the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Department of Labor (DOL), including preparing position statement; drafting and reviewing employment policies and procedures; counsel clients on a wide range of employment issues, including issues arising under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the American with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, etc.; conducting or reviewing employment investigations into allegations of misconduct or regulatory non-compliance; advise human resources regarding proposed employment actions.
