Responsibilities
- Contact and interview individuals who are victims of a crime and have a case pending.
- Provides information about the court process, punishment options, resources and referrals.
- Provides crisis counseling and court accompaniment.
- Conducts risk assessments and safety planning.
- Works with outside agencies to obtain information and coordinate services.
- Affords assistance with crime victim’s compensation claims.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- No experience required.

- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the general public, while maintaining confidentiality.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Standard office environment.
- May require prolonged sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, twisting, climbing and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
